Doula Care
The doula package is $900* and includes:
-Several prenatal visits to get to know you and your partner and provide support in any way needed, answering questions about pregnancy, labor, birth and beyond, support for a healthy, happy, comfortable pregnancy, preparation for labor and birth and more
-Support throughout labor and birth. (Read below for more information on what kind of support doulas provide)
-3 or more postpartum visits
-Learn yoga moves to ease discomforts of your pregnant body, and prepare for labor.
-2 prenatal massages, and 1 postpartum massage
-learn infant massage

What is a Doula?
A Birth Doula...
-recognizes birth as a key life experience that the mother will remember all her life
-understands the physiology of birth and the emotional needs of a woman in labor
-assists the woman and her partner in preparing for and carrying out their plans for birth
-stays by the side of the laboring woman throughout the entire labor
-provides emotional support, physical comfort measures, an objective viewpoint, and assistance to woman in getting the information she needs to make good decisions
-facilitates communication between the laboring woman, her partner, and clinical care providers
-perceives their role as one who nurtures and protects the woman's memory of her birth experience
Doulas provide many types of support during labor including
-Emotional Support- encouragement, reassurance, continuous physical presence
-Informational support - assistance in gathering information about the course of their labor and their options, explanations and non-medical advice
-Physical support- comfort measures, positioning, massage, breathing, relaxation, and other non pharmacological pain relief measures
-Advocacy- Interpreting the woman's wishes to the hospital staff
-Partner Support- role modeling, encouragement, reassurance
